son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey T. Smoot, of Washington, finished his MP training in Fort Bragg, N. C., and is now with the USAS 8044th (APO 500) in Tokyo, Japan. Pvt. Smoot will remain in Japan for three years serving in the Military Police.—
W. H. Massie, III Injured In Fall, While Hunting Wade H. Massie, III, was injured Sunday afternoon while on a hunting party, when the horse he was riding stepped on a rollintstone and vaulted down a hill. Mr^Massie is being treated in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
