With Carnival Plans
Fun and laughs galore will be, the special feature at Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department’s first carnival held this Friday and Saturday, July 23-24 in front of the Keyser packing shed in Flint Hill. A ferris wheel, a kiddie ride and tame ponies will keep the younger folk happy and occupied while the older generation make the round of assorted games maned by the Firemen and the Ladies Auxiliary.
And don’t bother about dinner before the carnival. The kids will be hungry anyway when they smell those carnival hot dogs, and home made desserts.
For many, the highlight of the two-day carnival will come with the crowning of The Carnival Queen at 9:30 Saturday night. The polls close at 8. giving the judges adequate time to count the votes. The maid of honor and runner up princess will be awarded lovely prizes, but to the Queen goes the mystery prize and prizes.
A car will be given away by the Firemen Saturday night, July 24 as a last minute thrill, the grand climax.
The rides and some stands will be open all Saturday afternoon.
There’s good clean entertainment for the grown-ups and the kiddies. Plan now to come with your family. As you art; enjoying, yourself you are contributing to the Fire Department and thereby to your own protection.
