The Washington Monarchs snowed under the Warrenton A. C.’s with a final score of 6-0 in Sunday’s game. This Sunday the Monarchs play the Middleburg Athletic Club at Pine Knot ball diamond at 2:30 Sunday evening. The lineup in the game with War.renton was -as follows: Atrhur Bridges, catcher; Louis Butler, lb Dolly Glasker, 2b; Charlie Williams, Sr., ss; Charlie Williams, Jr., 3b; Jack Rankin, lb; Bill Aylor, lb; Bobbie Simmons, rf; and Hampton Fletcher, the winning pitcher. The Monarchs and their managers wish to thank the fans for their loyal support of last Sunday’s game and of the dance sponsored by the home team.
There will be a weiner roast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bailey, Friday night at 8 o'clock sponsored by the Missionary Society.
The Red' Cross Class of the First Aid in the Home with Sick, both No. 1 and No. 2 classes of Washington and Amissville will hold its commencement exercises Friday night, July 30 at 8 o’clock at Frist Baptist Church.
