Point-toPoint Races, sponsored annually by the Rappahannock Hunt, are fast gaining for the county 4 even better seat in the world of horsemanship. They draw the best horseflesh in this area and arie attended by record crowds each year. Every year sees an increase in classes and in entrants. This growth in popularity did not just happen. It was brought about largely by the hard work of the members of the Hunt. We wish for them this year fast hard riding and clear skies.

We received so many (jonflktihg answers to last week’s question that we began to doubt our own answer. To put everybody’s mind at rest we phoned directly to an authority that we felt sure would have no doubt as to the answer. This authority was the Athletic Director at Aldvison-Broaddus in Philippi, West Virginia where Carl Hartman, ‘ ace player, attends college.

He confirmed our answer by telling us
the nir that Hartman remains tion’s top scorer. This is his fourth year in college. He has made 1,018 points this year with one more game to play. He also broke the nation’s record in> foul shooting40 out of 40. The points made during his career total $,255. In newspaper accounts he is often not mentioned due to the fact that his college, Aldvison-Broaddus, is a small one, and thus he, Hartman, is not considered in the: running. However, Hartman, as pf February 24th, held top scoring honors.
