The Eagle ba<jge, highest rank in scouting, was awarded to Sea Scout A. Preston Jarvis, son of Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis Lewis of Sperryville, in a special ceremony be* fore jtbe Rotarians of Greenville, N. C., recently.
Preston, a member of Sea Seoul Ship one and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster of troqp 36, also holds the: coveted God and Country Award in scouting, special recognition for outstanding religious work by a Boy Scout or Explorer Scout. He has been active in the affairs of Sea Scout one, and troop 36 for several years.
