W. M. S. OBSERVES WEEK OF PRAYER The Slate Mills Baptist ChurchW. M. S. observed the annual Week of Prayer for Home Missions by two services, one on Sunday evening at which the subject for study and prayer was Alaska, with a film-strip "Nuggets of the North,” and the other on Wednesday evening on Cuba. At this meeting Mrs. J. T. Edwards of Culpeper gave a presentation of the country, the people, the needs, .and the work being done by Southern Baptists in Cuba, illustrating her talk with slides and a filmstrip. The Ann Dwyer Girls’ Auxiliary and the Silas Bruce R. A. Chapter took part in the program, which was climaxed by the presentation of the Annie Armstrong Offering for Home Missions.

Bridge Party

Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr. entertained at Bridge, Monday night, February 28th, Mrs. Lock Burford was awarded high score : prize for the evening’s playing; Mrs. William Gilbert, traveling; Miss Minnie Williams, bingo; and Mrs. Joe Jenkins, consolation.
