A tentative budget, which called . for no increase* in the $325 levy, was considered at the March meeting of the Board of: Supervisors held Wednesday. A
Sheep claims of Puller Hughes and Mrs. Eastham were upheld. The various bills were checked and ordered paid.
P. D. Coldiron, Resident Engineer, asked the abandoning of a section of road, and the relocation of other roads both measures necessitated by relocation of roads while working on Route 729, south of Ben Venue. The intersection to be abandoned is on route 622 and. would cause no inconvenience to patrons if abandoned. A. C. Latham moved the pass- ^ age of these resolutions; Eddie} Estes seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Ray Cannon 4 asked that the 9/10 mile gap on route 650, which for several years - ' has had dead end signs on either end, be opened and worked preparatory for use. Several year* . ago Mr. Cannon had appeared before the Board asking that a sec- , tion of road including this 9/10 of a mile section be worked over under this secondary system- Work was begun on this road but was ■Si stopped due to an individual refusing to move a fence. Due to property change of hand, permission has now been, granted and work snay be resumed.
