In a season opener1, the Chiefs chalked up a 5-2 victory over the Flint; Hill Athletic Club Sunday afternoon with both teams fuming in' creditable playing. . 'Jackie Sisk went all the way for the Qiiefs allowing only 7 hits. North started for Flint Hill and gave up 9 hits beforebeing relieved by Riley in the seventh, Riley bore dbwn and quickly retired the Chiefs. However they i caught on to his style in the’ eighth and picked up 5 hits.. ;,f ; •

Lillard’s three bagger was the longest hit of Sunday’s game. Lillard, of the A.C., also made a brilliant catch when he pulled down a ball hit high over third.

Pete Clater drew some “oh’s” from the large crdwd when he held . on to a sizzling line drive. Buck Clater caught a fine game of ball, and all the players made a good showing, considering the lack of practice, Mahlon Ramey, the Chiefs’ manager, commented.
