The eighth grade I. Q. tests which were given last week caused a lot of excitement. Due to an error in checking somebody’s I.Q. was listed at 149! That's above genius rating, but “you can’t hardly get them no more.”
The Rappahannock Baseball .Team lost to Loudoun 8-6 in a game played April 29. The softball team lost to the Madison girl« 8-12.
Forest Grove. Reager and Amissville school children were brought to Flint Hill to take tHeir Salk Vaccine for polio.; The exact number from the other schools is not known.‘but there were 23 children in grades 1 and 2 who received the vaccine in Flinf Hill school. Dr. E. M. Eastham gave the shots.
The Varsity Club dance held April 22nd was very successful. The club cleared about $50.
The girls of the Senior Class went to Front Royal on April 24 where they visited the Rawlings Furniture Store and received minature Lane Cedar Chests. Tom Gibson of WFTR made a tape recording of interviews with the class. This was broadcast on April 25. Each girl chose the style of “hope chest” she would like best, just in case, for graduation.
