The Amissville Firemen and their Ladies Auxiliary are in the midst of final “getting ready” for their annual fall festival, set for September 8, 9, and 10. The main attractions include Crowning of the Queen at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 8; the Fire-, men’s Parade, beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Friday and the drawing of the Grand Prizes Saturday night. A 1955 Chevrolet, V-8 sedan is the first prize, wth a week’s cruise to Bermuda, for two, as the second and a 21” Admiral TV, the third.
