Emory C. Russell was re-elected chief of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department at an election held at the March meeting Tuesday evening, March 6th.
Other officers elected included H. S. Barksdale, president; Frank Gary, vice-president; John S. Browning, treasurer and David Corbin, secretary. The social committee remains the same as last year with the following members acting R. H. Dulaney, Herbert Footer and Nelson Atkins.
Plaps for the annual carnival were discussed and it was decided to gve a station wagon away this year, instead of a car as formerly. The station wagon will be furn-' ished by Russell Brothers.. v A committee was chosen to try to obtain a public telephone booth for the town, for safety and convenience. This committee is composed of Roland Welch, W. A. Moore and B. J. Wood.
