One of the five major points of the program of the National Congress of Parent-Teacher Associations, of which the High School P. T. A. is a member, is to “attract and keep teachers who have the vision, the insight, and the skill to help children and youth utilize fully their natural talents and powers.” This particular point is of great interest to parents and citizens of this community for we have seen what capable and devoted teachers can do even with inadequate facilities. For years much of the public interest in the county has centered round the building of a new High School and yet, a new building without good teachers to staff it would not go far towards solving Rappahannock’s educational problem.
