ACCIDENTS, TOPIC OF HOMEMAKERS, AT TUESDAY SESSION
The Flint Hill Home Makers Club met with Mrs. W. A. Gentry Tuesday evening and Mr*. Paul Miller gave a talk on causes of accidents in the home. The three greatest causes arc fires, poisons and falls. She pointed out ways to remove fire hazards, mark poison bottles and prevent falls. With the aid of posters Mrs. Miller demonstrated the frequency of deaths caused by carelessness and ignorance of the simple safety practices. Other members offered suggestions and hints on how to prevent accidents in the home. Afterwards the hostess served refreshments All members were urged to observe paint up fix up and clean up days that all homes would be attractive by the time tourists started their trek to the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester during the last of April.
