Amissville, Thursday
The Ham and Roast Beef Dinner given at the Fire Hall last Thursday by the Ladies of the Amissville Methodist Church was rated a huge sucess. Approximately 250 people were generously fed. and it proved to be a very enjoyable evening for everyone. The Dinner committee, composed of Mrs. Charles Green, chairman, Mrs. T. W. Latham, Mrs. J. C. Cropp, Mrs. Alvin James, Mrs. Lewis Judd, Mrs. Tommy Stover and Miss Virginia . Tapp are to be congratulated for their fine work. The splendid cooperation and generous contributions of the folks of Amissville and all nearby communities helped make this dinner a great accomplishment for the Methodist Church. A hearty thanks is extended to all of them.

The guests were Rev. and Mrs. Robert McLaughlin and daughter, Peggy, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wharton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baylus Wharton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Wharton, Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Utz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Clatterbuck and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dodson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Wharton and family, Miss Lavinia Wharton, Jimmy, Jean, and Jerry Brown, and Wade Corbin.
