The atomic bomb, Grace Kelly and Russia will take a back seat in tiie United Nations aqd New York this week as 40 or so homemakers from Rappahannock arrive in town for a 2-day visit. Meanwhile the husbands accept Skipper Giles’ kind invitation to a “bachelor jparty", which it’s interesting to note, he issued oniy after the bus doors had closed and his wife safe inside.

A , slick Traihvays bus picked up the ladies early Tuesday morning. ' Most were dressed in suite and their Easter bonnets. According to ' the planned itinerary _ they had luncheon at the Glass Kitchen Restaurant in Glasgow, Delaware and arrived in New York, Hotel Picadilly, around 0 o’clock. Tuesday night they enjoyed a movie release and saw the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Wednesday was sightseeing day, when the Homemakers saw everything from the Statue of Liberty to Chinatown. In the evening they attend^ ed a Broadway play. Thursday , morning the ladies tour the United Nations. £hi*, evening (Thursday) • they shop at Macy*s and Gimbals* then leave for home at 8 p.m. They are due to arrive in Washington at 11:89 Thursday night.
