Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Compton and Miss Elva Bruce were dinner guests on Sunday of Mrs. Betsey Harrell and visited other friends in the vicinity. Mrs. Rhoda Pullen was also a guest at her home for the week end.
Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Aylor were Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Aylor and Stevie, Miss Joan Aylor of Arlington. Mrs. Aylor and daughter is staying in the Aylor home while Mrs. H. H. Sr. is in New York.
Those present at the Supper served on Friday evening at the Fire House in Washington, by the Ladies of the Methodist Church, were Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Charles F. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. George “Kitty” Brown, and Dolly Smith, Miss Ebba Hitt, her guest Miss Nettie Bontz, Mrs. C. Ennis Brown, Miss Ruth Menefee, Mrs. Virginia M. Lewis and Buck Lewis. ‘ The WSCS met on Wednesday evening in the M e-t h o d i s t Church with ten members and one visitor present. After the opening hymn with Mrs. J. R. Devers at the piano, Mrs. C.E. Brown led thedevotional which was followed by an interesting program on the topic for the month, “Christian Decipleship” with Mrs. Goodson
