Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 10th at Geest Funeral! Home Culpeper, Va. for . Edgar Carter Kean who died June 8th at the Uunversity Hospital from injuries received when he fell from a ladder at his home neait Sperryville.
THie Rev. A. Paul Thompson, pastpr of the Reynolds Memorial Church officiated and interment was' in Harleigh Cemetery, near Caniden, N. J. by the side of his mother.
Hie is survived by a half brother, Mr] Raymond Haines of Magnolia, N. J.
Mr. Kean was bom in Camden, N. J. on November 5, 1889, the son pf the late Daniel Kean and Annk Collings Kean of Collingswood, N. J. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania he taught at ijjaurenceville Academy near Princeton, N. J. also at Girard College in Philadelphia. Lajter he was a member ..of the faculjty at the Admiral Farragut Military School at Tom’s River, N. jl and at St. Petersburg, Fla.
H? was a veteran of World War [I and a member of the First Baptijst Church of Camden N. J.
Since retirement he has been living; on the old Coates plate in Old ! Hollow which he and a friend, W. A. Brooks, purchased in 1946.
