Maurice Gordon Herndon, Jr, of Alexandria, Va. has been awarded the ranIP of Eagle, Boy Scouting’s higest award after having .recently been awarded the coveted God and Country Award of the Protestant Episcopal Church.

Besides being active in Scouting as Senior Crew Leader of the Mount Vernon Explorer Post 654 in Fairfax County, Gordon is active in the Junior Brotherhood of St Andrew, the Acolyte! Guild, Choir, and Young Peoples’ group at St. Luke's P. E. Church, Wellington, / near Alexandria, where his father has served for a number of years as senior warden.
