Dr. W. L. Wake To Travel In V. S. D. A.
Program * \ Dr. W. L. Wake has been selected by the U. S. Department of Agriculture for a Vetemary Replacement and Development Program which is under the A. D. E. (Animal. Disease Eradication) branch of the A. R. S. The program will continue nine months with temporary duty stations throughout Eastern United States. Dr. Wake will report first to Laredo, Texas. Other stations are New York, N. .Y Chicago,, 111. St Paul, Minn, and Atlanta, Ga.
Dr. and Mrs. Wake are ^laving for Texas on September 21st.
Local Man Is Shot

Randus Fincham was shot in the leg on Saturday afternoon in the yard of the home of Mrs. Sadie Footer, by Mrs. Foster who is said to have ordered him off the place. ,} ... •• Fincham was taken to the Front Royal Hospital, but was able to return the same afternoon. Mrs. Foster was arrested but is out on bond.
