In the afternoon, while the Warren County teachers were enjoying an escorted tour of the Warren County industries, arranged by the Front Royal Chamber of Commerce followed by a picnic, the Rappahannock County Education Association composed of Rappahannock teachers, met in the Warren County High school in executive session, H. B. Winfrey, president, presiding.

August thirtieth and thirty-first were work days1 for the Rappahannock teachers in their respective schools. This two day period was spent in formulating plans for the coming year and attending to the innumerable items in pre-school routine.

On August thirty-first the new teachers were entertained at a delightful picnic lupch at the Davis Lake, by the old teachers, under the direction of Mrs. Jessie Cox.
