Oscar Thomas Wharton
Funeral services were held on Tuesday. Nov. 13th, 1956 at 2:00 p.m., at the Five Forks Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Corbin conducting the services for Mr. Oscar Thomas Wharton, Castle, Va., age 66, who died at the University (Hospital, Charlottesville on November 10th.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Marshall Burke of Woodville. Va.. and Miss Lillie Mae Wharton, who resides at the home;'four son,<; Haywood, Henry, Jesse and James, all of Castleton, and two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Willie Cloud, six brothers, Sam, Amon, Ashby, Robert, Walter and Howard, all of Castleton. Burial was in the family cemetery at Castleton.
Pallbearers were: Aubrey Ford. N. T. Utz, Cecil Coppage, Willie Cloud, Kensie Wharton, William Wharton, Junior Corbin and Marshall Corbin. Friends of the family were flower bearers. iwmwwuimxMtxxwoooo
