James E. Nichols
James Eppie Nichols, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nichols of Rappahannock County, died quietly in his sleep May 4, of heart trouble. He was bom July 22, 1903.
Mr. Nichols was a member of the Methodist Church of Manassas ' and funeral services were held there on Monday, May 6. Interment was in the cemetery at N'okesville.
He is survived by one son, Mr. Sailor J. Nichols of Harrison,btfrg and one daughter, Mrs. Janet Duncan of Fairfax. Both attended the funeral services.
Five sisters survive. Others attending the funeral were Mrs. John Patton and Mrs. Luther May of Manassas, Va., Mrs. William’Bart of Bealton, Mrs. Harry L. Johnson of Florida, Mrs. John Mills of Flint Hill and Thomas Printz of Front Royal.
A number of Mr. Nichols' nieces and nephews live abroad and fortunately several were in this country at the time of his death and were able to attend the ■services. . k
They were Miss Ruby Bart of Italy. Mrs. Gordon Patton of Tokyo, Japan. Mrs. Panzy Bart, France, and Mrs. Casey Patton, Egypt. ‘ , 1
Mr. Nichols, who spent his boyhood years in Rappahannock and attended school at “The Old Academy,” was here less than a year ago and was anxious to buy property so he could “spend his remaining years9 in Rappahannock.
He enjoyed the respect of all who knew him in his early years.
