Over he years, obedient children have been taught to look up to their teachers. Actually , it would be better, in a physical sense, if they were permitted to look down upon them. The children would behefit if they were seated in their classrooms so as to be above the teachers. Turning the eyes upward causes'more fatigue than looking down.

Hospital Continues
Approximately $70,000 has been raised in the current drive to raise $100,000 for a new wing at the Warren Memorial Hospital according to Chester R. Dodd, executive chairman.
The new wing, which will cost $250,000, will increase the number of available beds from 47 to 70 and will add many other services to the local hospital. A total $120,988 has been made available from Hill-Burton funds, $27,600 from a Ford Foundation grant, and the remaining funds must be raised locally.
The drive for $100.0(10 locally opened on May 1 and is scheduled to end on May 31. - "Since we have only a limited _ time for volunteer solicitators to 1 complete their work, we may not be able to contact everyone who wants to contribute to the building fund.” said Chairman Dodd. "In the event you are not ap- 1 proached personally, please contribute all you can bv mailing your check to the Warren Memorial Hospital Building Fund, Front Royal, or brng your donation to the Building Fund Headquarters, located n the Minter Building on Man Street. If you cannot come to the. Building Fund Headquarters, telephone 331 and a volunteer will come to your house to pick up yn„ur contribution."
Building Fund Headquarters will be open daily. Monday through Frday, from 9:30 am. until 4:30 pm.! with Mrs. Henry Crewdson. Jr., and other volunters on hand. Contributors are remnded that pledges may be paid oer a 30-month period, or three tax deductable years.
