Mr. Corbin was the son of the late James Madison Corbin and Mrs. Sarah Gordon Corbin of Madison County, Va. He has been preaching over fifty years, having built four churches during his ministry, the Black Oak Chapel, Hughes River Baptist Church, Beech Spring Baptist Church and Five Forks Baptist Church with thriving congregations. At the time of his death he was pastor 'of Black Oak Chapel, Piedmont and Zion Baptist Church at Ninevah, Warren County. In, addition to his Ministerial work he operated a farm, sawmill and apple orchard.
He is surv ived by his wife, Mrs. Matilda Corbin, Woodville; three daughters, Mrs. Fances C. Reid, Woodville; Mrs. Virgic C. Campbell, York, Pa.; and Mrs. Flora C. Ward, Winchester; two sons, Enos J. Corbin, Owing Mills, Maryland; and Irvin Corbin, Culpeper; four brothers, June Corbin, Woodville, George Corbin, Luray, Woody Corbin, Stanley and Charlie Corbin, Leon; four half sisters, Mrs. Bailey Nicholson, Leon; Mrs. BuckCorbin, Madison; Mrs. Veit Nicholson, Leon; and Mrs. Lula Smith, Beverley Hills, Calif, also 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
