Chiefs Defeat
Stanley, 5-3 ■The Rappahannock Chiefs defeated Stanley Sunday at Moffett’s field with a score of 5 to 3.
In the 6th inning neither team had a score. In the 7th. with the Chiefs at bat.,Ned Settle hit a double and brought in two other runs.
In the 8th the Chiefs scored one run making the score 5 to 0 at the beginning of the 9th.
It was then that Stanley staged something of a comeback and chalked up three runs. - Friday evening June 14th the Chiefs will cross over the mountain to Luray to plav Lurav.
It is hoped they won’t be rained out this time as they have been on the two previous occasions.
