Peachey was delegate representing the county 4-iH Council, Mary Lou was courftv winner of the “Share the Fun Contest" while »"Paula Miller is an All Star. Jimmy. Randall and Jack composed the Northern Virginia Extension District’s Livestock Judging team while Glenn proved to be State vynner of the Meat Animal Contest sponsored by the Thomas F. Wilson Packing Company. 1
As a result of Glenn’s completing 33 projects in seven years as a club member, having been a member of the county livestock judging team, being selected as an All Star, and having been a delegate to the Short Course for four years as well a> an officer in his club and of the County’ Council, he was ' te l as the most outstanding 4-H’er in Virginia enrolled, in meat animal projects during the 10*56-57 club year! Just how many Virginia 4-H’ens were carrying a meat animal project is not known but you can bet your boots the number was well into the hundreds and possibly in the thousands. His reward will be an allexpetise trip to the National 4-H Congress to be held at Chicago this fall!
A check on Glenn’s project work reveals that he has had: a net profit on 25 of his projects totaling $2,285.32 a loss on four projects totaling $106.75 while 4 projects did not involve expense nor income. His prize winnings total $102.00.
