Retires Mrs. Leslie Fox Keyser, Supervisor of the Elementary Schools of Rappahannock and Warren Counties, retires after 38 years of service, expresses her appreciation to those who have worked with her. Having reached the end of my service as Supervisor of Elementary Schools of Rappahannock and Warren Counties, after thirtyeight years in this capacity, I wish to recognize and to thank those who have made my work among vou such a truly pleasant experience. I wish that I might speak to each one personally but the number is so great that it would be an endless undertaking to attempt to do so. Please find yourself among the groups mentioned and know that this message is to you. I wish first to express my appreciation to the administration of our school system. The three superintendents with whom 1 have served, Mr, Hugh D Hite Dr•G. Tyler Miller and Mr. Q. U. Gasque, have been » great source of inspiration and guidance. Their understanding attitude, professional integrity, and concern about sound educational progress have been a firm foundation for any good thing that I may have accomplished. I owe to each a debt of gratitude. - I want to thank the members ot our school boards who have been unfailingly helpful through their awareness of the job to be done, and their loyal support in the effort toward realizing the objectives which we have established from time to time. In this wav they have challenged me to a vital sense of responsibility to the public v '. -b they represent. Tb,- principals and teachers in the divisions are those who have been in key positions—as they alwavs are. No school system can progress beyond the vision and effort of those who are nearest the children. I have no words to adequately express my appreciation ot the principals and teachers in these two counties. They have beer, unselfish in their attitude and cooperative
in their «^ort/The wel - being of children has beeri uppermost
in their concern. Such ^ ’ to children, to «<fc»\5°.th Session, and to leadership has made working among them an 'tispicanon and joy. The warmth of the atmosphere will linger with me into the vears to come.
There are too manv employe^ of our school system to call each group bv name, but whatever the. capacity in which they serve, aU have sought to make me feel comfortable and to give to me a sense of securin' through the many services which have been rendered for me.
