IN MEMORIAM
In memory of my father, Rev. Wesley C. Phillips, who slept away 1 year ago today, July 15, 1956. I think of him in silence. No eyes can see me weep Hut many silent tears are shed While others are esleep. The angels are safely guarding A sacred and solemn grave For in it lies my precious father I loved but could not save. God gave me strength to bear it And courage to fight the blow Rut what it meant to lose him No one will ever know.
His devoted daughter,
Madeline Carter
