The Rappahannock County Hoard of Supervisors has authorozed the Rappahannock County School Board to borrow $75,000 from the Literal Fund to add to the sum already available in th_* Battle Fund for the construction of a new high school plant on the lot owned by the School Hoard between Washington and Sperryville.
At the last meeting of the School Hoard the architect, Mr. B. N, Eubank, met with the board and cvhibitcd plans and specifications for the main building and agriculture buildirfg.
The proposed plans will be presented of the State Department of Education in Richmond for that bodv’s consideration and approval. When the plans have been approved by the State Department of Education, they will then be reviewed by the local school board and the architect.
Following final approval of plans, the proposed loan may be approved and actual construction can begin.

July Meeting
TTie Woman’s’ Society of Christian Service met for the July meeting on Wednesday night in the Sperryville Methodist Church. The opening hymn “Blest Be the Tie That Binds,’’ with Mrs. J. R. Devers at the piano was sung by the group, after which the president, Mrs. Brown, read the scripture lesson. Mrs. vLee Swindler was in charge of the program and assisted by 'other members presented the lesson for the month: “Strangers Within the Gates.” There were ten members answered to roll call. After the business at hand was disposed of the meeting adjourned with prayer offered by. Mrs. Goodson. Mfs. Tom Leakt* will be the leader for the Augtist meeting. - - • r
