LETTER TO THE EDITOR

July 16. 1957 Editor Rappahannock News Washington. Va. Dear Editor:

1 would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude, anil 1 feel sure this feeling is shared by all members of the Washington Fire Department, to the Ladies 'Auxiliary of our Community.

As one of the earliest members. 1 remember our early struggle to get organized and to raise money for the equipment that we needed. Then with the organization of the Ladies Auxiliary, this job became easier. Not only are we grateful for the hours of toil that they so graciously contributed, but for the moral support we received knowing that our wives, daughters, and other ladies of the communities were working along with us for a common purpose.
