Dear Folks:
Another Monday, gosh it i m e does fly, and I declare there isn’t any news or at least not at this point, but as the day wears on maybe we can gather a Httle.
Of course Mrs. DeBergh is at home today. The post office has a holiday as well as banks. Honestly with Mrs. DeBergh not around and Jack Miller not in the bank the old town seems right lonesome.
Mrs. S. R. Shackleford came home from the hospital Saturday. All of us are so glad to have her back in our midst again. t Today in Culpeper I was terriby sorry I had left my calling cards at home, but after the big week of advertising last week we didn’t expect much. There are still some good bargains to, be had in the) stores there. Next time you are in Culpeper drop by “Jaynes”. I believe they will have a cup of coffee for you and I am sure they would enjoy having you look around. Front Royal is' also offering you marvelous savings at this time. Aren’t we the lucky folks to have such nice places to shop? The Northern Virginia Furniture in Warrenton is having their annual sale. Stop by next time you are down that way..

“McFarland Place” Solid
R. P. Foreman of • Arlington, Va. has recently purchased the 120 acre “McFarland Place” near Slate Mills.
Mr. Foreman who, is originally from Kentutiy, is now stationed with the Navy Department in the Washington, D. C. area.
The sale was negotiated by Ray T. Cannon, Realtor of Castleton, Va. .through the co-oporation of Dorothy McCoy of Culpeper.
