Honor Firemen With
Banquet
Friday evening, March 13 the fire hall in Flint Hill was the scene of a beautiful banquet, when the Ladies Auxiliary entertained the firemen and their f r ie n d s at dinner. Ninety-three guests were present. Fire companies from all communities in the county were represented as well as from Front Royal and Culpeper. The tables yvere decorated with white carnations, boxwood, candles and firemens hats. Rev. John Adams, p-anor of Woodvilfe Baptist Church w ;, the guest speaker. H, D. ACHIEVEMENT DAY WELL ATTENDED k . The Home »atk>f» Clubs held their AcYcv- ':nt D-*y Tuesday, March 17 at the Parish Hall.
Mrs. A. D' Goed -on, Couny Chairman, presided over the meeting. This year Rev. Oren Mco e, Jr. from Front R:;val spoke to the group on Family Life which was the 1958 Federation Program of Work.
The roll call of clubs showed five of the six clubs represented with 25 members and guests.
The Flint Hill Club derived the banner for Outstanding Club of the year.
A film was shown on “Dynamic Careers Through Agriculture” in the afternoon A number of 4-H club members and girls interested in this were invited to attend.
Plans were made for the District Meeting to be held at Front Royal April* 14. Rappahannock H. D. Clubs will be hostess for the meet’"" *•*>« year.
The Woodville H. D. Club was hostess for the day.
