Although the family size farm is growing vertically and horizontially, I do not believe, as some do, that this size operation is downed. It will be the backbone of America's agriculture for many years to come for they are the most rugged people in the ration and plenty of them have brains and ability to compete and survive. Those that survive will be those who combine many of their efforts or phases of businesses. In this respect Rappahannock Farmers are an excellent example.
