voting requested that his vote be changed after the meeting to a vote against. The writer was not present at the meeting due to urgent county budget business in Richmond, but would have voted for the motion had he been present.
The county and state lost the case but the two other principals in the case did not get any salary increase since the ruling of the court gave them the exjact salary they had been making. The / place of employment for one of the principals is changed effective June 1. 1959.
The gross saving to the County and State became of County' Board action is $600 an a 50-50 basis to County and State.
The cost to the County is less than $300. I do not know-what the cost is to the State, but I estimate it also to be dess than the saving.
The cpst to the Rappahannock News on its machinery and tools (composed of two linotype machines, a printing press and various other items assessed at $630) is about 4 cents.
