The week of October 4-10 has been designated as FIRE PREVENTION WEEK by the President. In his proclamation, the President pointed out that fire loss es increased during the past year. He also said than experience has shown that when communities seriously undertake fire prevention , programs, lives can be saved, and Iluin<^ «#dalbw« v it*: property losses also averted. ! In order to cut down on this staggering annual loss, each one is urged to inspect his. .home, his place of business, and public use areas to see if, there js ahy hazard present. Following tins with action tp romove that hazard will go a long way toward realizing the president’s aim of reducing the loss of life and property resulting front fires.
