Celebrates Birthday
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke entertained at a birthday party Sunday afternoon honoring the birthday of Mr. Burke’s father, Oscar Burke, who was 85 years og age. Those attending were Mrs. Frank Sloane of Mt. Ranier, Md., Mrs. Henry Green, Mrs. Arthur Kite, and Cleveland Compton of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Conner Yates and Mrs. C. F. Yates and children of Griffinsburg, Rev, and Mrs. John Adams of Woodville, Mrs. Wallace Weaver, Mrs. Edmund Burke, Mrs. Frank Butler, Mrs. Lynnwood Smith, Edgar Compton and James, Linda and Steve Butler all of Boston.
Hostess At Bridge
Mrs. John P. Snead was hostess to the bride club and additional guests Friday night. Those playing were Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Irvin Wolf, Mrs. Earl Combs, Mr*, R- G. Quairttance, Mrs. T. J. The hostess served a salad course at the conclusion of the game.
