At a time when our newspapers, magazines, radio, and television scream into our already-crowded minds the urgency for recognizing, and. alleviating, “a world in crisis” (and rightly so!).we pause for a customary season of Thanksgiving. But this pause of ours often resembles a man hurrying frantically over an obstacle course...:..climbing, leaping, running, clawinjg bis way over those things which would seem to block him._.. which would seem to throw a pool of quick-sand beneath his already-aching feet. We pause as such a man as this would pause.and wheeze out a whispered “thank*”— the very words coming as an effort to our (beating pillse and tightlyl-strung nerves.
