Status To Board
Captain Charles L. Kessler, Virginia Selective Service Director, today pointed out that, in addition to complying with the Selective Service Law, it is to the advantage of each Selective Service registrant to furnish his local board with his current address and status. He also reminded all male persons horn op or after August 30, 1922 and who have reached the age of 18, except those on duty with the armed forces, that they are required to be registered with a Selective Service local board.
Captain Kessler further advised that Virginia local boards may, from time to time, request all registrants to complete Current Information Questionnaires to keep their records up to date, even though it is the registrant’s responsibility to furnish the information without being asked.
CHI SIGMA MSWS
The Chi Sigma Youth Group held its regular Sunday night meeting at the Episcopal Parish Hall in Washington. ■ '
During the business meeting a check was made on tickets sold for the Baylor Concert. These tickets are available fro many Chi Sigma member. This concert is a rare and very worthwhile event for our area and we urge everyone to attend.
Devotions were held in the church with Rev. Carr leading the. group in song and prayer. f
After refreshments and games, the meeting adjourned. The meeting next week will be held at Flint * •Hill Fire, Hall. Cars will be leaving from the Washington Baptist Church between 7:15 and 7:30. *
