Weight Control Meet

The Weight Controi Group sponsored by the Extension Service and Health Department got underway Thursday, January 12th.

A group of women interested in losing weight met at the Health • Office and “weighed in”. The Total weight of the group was 1871 pounds. v

Photographs were taken of each member of the group so they can have a before and after photo for comparison at the end of the group meetings.

During the next four months, the members will meet every other Thursday night. Programs are being planned for each meeting to include topics such as: Weight and Health, Fad Diets, Exercises to Tone Muscles, and Low Oalorie Meals.

Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Miss Anna Ruth Barnette, Home Agent, before the next meeting which will be January 26th.

Membership Meeting Of

Culpeper Hospital Auxiliary

The annual membership meeting of the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be held Thursday, January 26 at 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Culpeper Methodist 1 Church. Mrs. Charles Lewis of Leesburg, president of the Virginia Organization of Hospital Auxiliaries, will be the guest speaker.

Annual elections will be held at this meeting. New auxiliary officers and one-third of the board members will b^* elected. Committee reports will also be given. Mrs. R. M. Willis, president, urges all members to attend and to make their wishes known.
