Lyle was judged Grant Champion Showman at the stow in Front Royal. ,
At the Baby Beef Slrow in Culpeper, Lyle exhibited a 97 5 pound Hereford and placed second. In the fitting class he placed second.
Francis Updike was a winner in the area shows also. At Orange he exhibited in second place in one class with his hog and had b second place winner at the Page-WarrenRapp’k. show along with I Reserve Champion Single.
Other exhibitors at the Orange Show were David Lyne! with a blue ribbon hog in class 8 weighing 201-210; Robert O'Ban non with a 1st -and Mt 'it the Baby Beef Show; Mark Harrijt placed 4th with 985 pound Angiis steer; Mark and Robert 4th and 5th respectively in showmanship; At die Front Royal Show David Lyne had a 1st and Carolyn Johnston a 2nd in the singles. Carolyiji Johnston had the top selling hog. Her 170 pound U.S. No. 1 hog sold for $31.00 per cwt to make a grand total of $52.70. The purchaser—Tommy Eastham of Rapnahannock.
