OBITUARIES
W. Glenn Jenkins
Wilbur Glenn Jenkins, 37, of Luray died Tuesday, September 5 in Page Memorial Hospital of a heart condition. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Culpeper County and lived for many years near Amissville. He was owner and manager of Tastee Freez Enterprises located in Luray, Front Royal, Culpeper, Elkton and Waynesboro.
Surviving are his wife the former Frances Kraemer; five children, Berdina, Gary, Cynthia, Linda and Joan of the home address; his parents, James M. and Bernice Woodward Jenkins, Viewtown; - two brothers, Milton M. Jenkins of Rixeyville and James L. Jenkins, Viewtown; and a grandmother, Mrs. Susan Jenkins, Manassas.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, September 7 at 2 p.m. EST from Amissville Baptist Church with interment in,the , • church cemetery. Rev, John B. Hodge will officiate. _ •
Pallbearers will be A1 Smith, •Warren Teaten, John Jenkins,' Tom Hannah, Melvin Dodson Kenneth Tobin and A. C. Corbin.
' Mrs. E- M. Newton
Mrs. E. Marshall Newton, 90, of The Cove, Hume Va. died Thursday, August 31. She was the daughter of Capt. Beckham who for many years was Superintendent of Culpeper County Schools. Suriving Mrs. Newton are three children, ChaHes J. Yates, Jr., of , Arlington, Mrs. Henry L. Baxley and Mrs. R. Mason Carter of Hume’; three step children, Mrs. John DelaplaneTbf Delaplane, C. Marshall Newton, Jr., Alexandria and James Y.'Newton, Washington, D. C.; and nine grandchildren. Also a brother, Collins Beckham, Greensborp, Md.; and a sister, Mrs. James F. Moser, Richmond. James M. Settle of Flint Hill is a nephew.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 ajn. from Flint Hill Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. William A. Jester officiated.
