Rev. and Mrs. William A. Jester had as their guest over Labor . Day weekend, Mrs. Jester’s mother, Mrs. Curry F. Loflin of Asheboro, N. C. and Mrs. Loflin’s sister Miss Carrie L. Brittain of Davidson, N. C. ■ Mrs. G. W. Smith and sons Charlie and Galley had dinner on Labor Day at Panomara.
Recent guests of Capt. and Mrs. J. P. Cook were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cary Harrison of Fort Worth, Tex. Mrs. Freeman Kennedy and Mrs.. DeWard Walker of Front Royal. Holiday weekend guests were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Walker, and family of Falls Church.
Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. and Miss Ruth Stevens attended the 4-H Banquet Friday night at he Hi-Wv Restaurant in Front Royal. The dinner was sponsored by Sea re Roebuck and Coi.
Miss Ruth Stevens and Mrs. Madie Hudson attended the dedication and ground breaking Sunday at Chester Gap, for the Baptist Mission there.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Spalding have returned home after visiting' Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Spalding, Jr at Morristown, N. J. They also toured in Pennsylvania while on their trip.
Mrs. Frank Spalding and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith 'attenejed the Conference of County Officers last Wednesday in Charlottesville. They were accompanid by Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr.
