Extension Courses
Offered To Teachers
The University of Viginia Extension Division announces that it will offer two extension classes for the Fall Semester in Front Royal. A course entitled Earth Science will be offered the first and second semesters. This is a graduate • course # 101 E and 102 E. The course will include a broad survey of the IPhysicfel Aspects of the Earth and the Universe. It covers the fields of geology geophysics, physical geography and astronomy. This course should be of interest to middle and upper grade elementary teachers and high school science teachers.
This class is being offered as a State Institute, therefore, all teachers under contract will only have to pay a nominal amount to participate. All other interested persons will have to pay the usual tuition charge of $40.00.
This class will meet at Warren County High School on Tuesday nights beginning September 26, 1961 at 7 p.m.
In addition another course will be offered entitled Education 120, Teaching in the Elementary School.. This class will also meet at Warren County High School on Tuesday nights starting September 26, 1961 at 7 p.m. Tuition is $40.00.
During the second semester a course entitled Education 113Educational Psychology will be offered. Detailed plans will be announced later on this course. These courses are open to teachers in this school division, nearby school divisions and other interested persons.
