Two Sperryville Men,
Injured In Accident
James Russell Sisk and Kenneth Clater, both of Sperryville, were injured in an automobile-bus collision late Sunday afternoon near Cab Inn, Sperryville. Sisk sustained a broken knee and multiple cuts and bruises while Clater had face injuries including a broken nose, both cheek bones and cuts, and a broken leg. According- to Trooper W. A. Buntin, both boys were recovering satisfactorily when he visited them in the University of Virginia Hospital Wednesday.
• The 1955 Ford hardtop driven by Sisk pulled from a side road, Route 667 into the path of the oncoming bus traveling east on Route 211 and the vehicles hit head-on. About twelve of the approximately sixty passengers, mostly elderly women, were slightly injured but did not require hospitalization,
The bus, a 1954 G.M.C., was driven by John Peter Shafer of Baltimore and was owned by the McMahon Transportation Company of Baltimore. The Sisk car was a total loss.
