Many times Mr. Jr. has demonstrated his intelligence with brilliant editorials, (once he advocated the abolition of the U.S. Senate) but his editorial of Nov. 16, 1961 tops them all.
lHis appraisal of Russia’s nuclear striking power is greatly contradicted on page 52 of the Novemoer 20, 1961 issue of U.S. News and World Report. Certainly U.S. News and World Report can make a more accurate appraisal of Rus-' sia’s striking power.
If there is an atomic war, people can and will survive. The number that will live will mostly be determined by our preparedness. America was not made great by defeatists. Attend your community Civil -Defense meetings that will be held in the coming weeks. It could save you and your families lives.
