Takes Life Of

H. R. Deal

Hugh Robert “Sugar” Deal of Sperryville was killed instantly on Saturday, June *23 when his 1957 Plymouth struck a bridge abutment on Route 231 a mile and seven tenths south of Sperryville. Deal was passing another car, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the bridge. He sustained a broken neck. The accident happened at 9:45 p.m.

The Rappahannock Rescue Squad took him to Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper. The car was demolished.
