Mr. and Mrs. W. 'C. Hall of Rose Hill near Washington., Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Sunday afternoon. A hundred and forty friends and relatives gathered to extend congratulations and wish, them well.

and shades of gold were arranged j by the Rappahannock Garden Club ; for decorations throughout the house. The centerpiece for the dining room table used cream and gold roses as a focal point accenting bride and groom in the center. Gold apd white snapdragons were added and baby’s breath created a bridal flare. The bride and groom were'the same used on the wedding cake of the Hall’s granddaughter, Mrs. Carol Callahan Reynolds,!

The bride of fifty years ago wore a rose lace sheath over taffeta and had a corsage of cream coli ored orchids with gold centers and
| the groom wore a gold rose in the | lapel of his dark business suit. Lean was in charge of the guest book and had grown the orchids in her own greenhouse for Mrs. Hall, her daughters .Mrs. L. T. Callahan and Mrs. Virginia Kuhn and her sister, Mrs. S. P. Pollend. Mrs. Claudia Harrell, a cousin also from McLean and Mrs. Thomas Piercy, a niece, of Gainesville, presided at the punch bowls on each end of the table. They were assisted by Mrs. Taylor
