8<, The annual States Big Game Trophy Contest sponsored by the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries :Wlll fee held on October 29 this year at the National Guard Armory in Hay risonburg, according to District Game Biologist Max Carr penter who is coordinating this year's contest. Western regional entries will be judged earlier during the three-day program sponsored by the Hat risonburg-Rockingham Chapter of the Izaak Walton League October 27f 28 and 29.,
Eastern heads will be judged at the Municipal Armory in Newport News October 22 during competition sponsored by the Peninsula Sportsmen’s As sociation. All heads must be carried or shfpped^fe^the proper regional contest before ! being eligible for state com| petition. The East-West dividing line will follow the east-west season dividing line in effect during the 1965-66 iseason. All entries must be j accompanied by the proper | Big Game Tag as proof of ; legal kill. [ Heads will be accepted in [the western and state contest from 8 a. m. to 9 p. m. on October 27 and 28 at the National Guard Armory in Harrisonburg. Entries for the Eastern Regional competition should be brought to the Munici pal Armory in Newport News between 12 noon and 5 p. m. on October 22.
