WHEAT production in Northern Virginia declined from 1971 to 1972 in all but two of five counties, according to the Virginia Crop Reporting Service.
In Loudoun County wheat produced for grain increased from 237,600 bushels in 1971 to 244,500 bushels in 1972. Yield per acre, however, declined from 44 to 40 bushels, the service reported.
Wheat production in 1972 also was up slightly in Rappahannock County. The service reported 14,400 bushels produced for grain in 1971 and 14,500 produced in 1972. Yield was down
