Commission members if any of them had received requests from Amissville residents to be excluded from the zoning change. No one had.

“What’s the RB zoning to do to our taxes?” asked Jack Atkins.

Masterson replied that this would be up to the assessor and the ■Board of Supervisors.

Elizabeth Streagle asked what effect the change would have on the procedure followed in obtaining the necessary permits to begin a new business. She wanted to know if the two hearings required in a rezoning would have to be held.

Miller explained that the situation would depend upon the type of business. “There is a list of things that can be done with a special use permit that don’t require a rezoning,” he said and gave antique stores and roadside produce stands as examples. With a special use permit, only one public hearing is required.

THE Planners voted unanimously to recommend that the Supervisors adopt the new zoning lines as the boundaries of Amissville as shown on the map on display in the County Engineer’s office for public review. The trailor court was excluded from the RB-1 zone.
